Haven’t been updating this blog lately. But good news, my *new* ilm-centered blog is Alhamdulilah up, not complete as of yet, I’m still updating. I won’t “link” or post it yet.. But when the design, sections and categories are all up, then I will def [insha’Allah] give you all the heads up…

MR- Yes….but only in my dreams. :p It’s weird actually i was just going to put up a section on my new blog explaining that. Since it’s a blog focused on ilm, I wouldn’t want to cause any confusion….

To my knowledge “Shaykha” means two things 1) old/elderly woman 2) knowledgeable/learned woman.
I am neither lol. Actually it is my youtube username. Chose it because it’s my mother’s nickname for me around the house: “Shaykha or Shaykhat”. Also because that is what I want to be insha’Allah someday: a Shaykha.
But I can see how it can be misleading (one person asked me are you going to pass a ruling, you are a shaykha aren’t you?? lol),
….and it can seem a bit arrogant. But that was not my intention.
Anyway, sorry for the long explanation and confusion. Anisa is my real name, shaykha is nothing more than an online username just like hmm…”Mujaahid”. 😀

subhan’allah i prayed behind him pretty much everyday last summer. he has a beautiful voice. when and if i go again bi’idhni’llah i will record lots. insha’allah.
